Drawings of wildlife…

I love taking photos of all sorts of things and the internet is full of wonderful free to use photographs so it’s easy for me to find an image that inspires me to draw it. At times I even pause the tv to take a photo when I see a scene that makes me feel like I want to draw it.

I thought the fox face speckled in snow was a very cute image but in contrast I was equally drawn to the one of the fierce bobcat and the majestic lion. Each portrait brings its own interest and I am drawn to good lighting, lots of details and clear bright eyes.

The lion is approximately 66cm x 46cm

The fox in snow is approximately 66cm x 46cm

The autumn fox is approximately 46cm x 66cm

The bobcat is approximately 34cm x 39cm

I am wanting to draw more wildlife and this was a quick simple little study of a hare in a field. Hares are very popular in art and I will be drawing more of British wildlife and also animals from around the world, so watch this space.

But in the meantime if there is a particular animal or bird or creature you think might be good for me to draw please do let me know…
