Anything other than portraits is a new venture for me but it is an enjoyable challenge and good for me to get out of my comfort zone. But I love it and plan to do lots more.

The reference for this drawing is a photo of mine of Guernsey and the sea and sky were really this blue on that day.

This sunset over sea and surf was an interesting challenge for me. I'm more familiar with small areas of detail on faces that are different from the next area whereas here, although a small drawing there is still a large area of sea to tackle in a more impressionistic way rather than every piece of detail recreated.
